Small Math 3D will be application for displaying three-dimensional mathematical objects such as: implicit and parametric surfaces, implicit and parametric curves, explicit surfaces, three-dimensional ODEs. The work on this application has not been started yet. There is only a prototype of implicit surface viewer, which you can download here (to run this application, you will need Java 3D installed on your computer).

To run this aplication you need Java Runtime Environment and Java 3D Runtime, both freely available.

The Implicit Surface Viewer uses adaptive algorithm, which takes more effort on constructing surface in curved areas than in smooth ones. The number of recursive subdivisions in curved areas is determined by parameter “Subdivisions in curved areas”. It doesn’t use Marching Cubes algorithm, so it doesn’t violate IBM’s patent on this algorithm.
